The sensory room was created for a kindergarten in Tampere. Its purpose is to bring nature into an urban indoor environment and to serve as a calming space, especially for children who need additional support. The sensory room consists of a rya rug and tree forms rising onto the walls, along with the species that inhabit them. Together they depict various plants, fungi, birds, and insects found in northern nature.
